Back ribs with bourbon peach sauce

Needless to say, bbq ribs are delicious. Recipe that takes quite a time, yes, but well worth the effort! The sweet, fruity taste of our Peach Bourbon sauce will be the perfect complement to your ribs.

  • 2 servings
  • 6 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Grillville's Peach Bourbon Sauce
  • 2 back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Steps

  • Preheat the barbecue to 225F, taking care to leave two successive sections of the barbecue closed.
  • On a cutting board, turn the ribs upside down and remove the membrane with your fingers, gently lifting it from the base of the bone.
  • Mix together the spices to form the rub. Add the olive oil to the ribs and rub over them with your hands. Add the rub, rubbing again to coat both sides of the ribs.
  • Place on the grill over the closed section (indirect heat). Cook for two hours.
  • After two hours, wrap sides with aluminum foil, wrapping tightly and without perforating the foil to retain moisture. Bake for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Remove ribs from foil and grill over open fire (direct heat). Once the ribs are lightly grilled, brush generously with sauce and transfer again to the closed sections. Leave to rest for a further 20 minutes.
  • Brush one last time with sauce and enjoy!

Tips and tricks

This recipe can also be made in a smoker, or you can use a smoke box with wood shavings, ideally apple or cherry. Simply place it under the grill above the open section of the barbecue, at the start of cooking.
